My name is Michelle R Brown, EA
I'm an entrepreneur, Enrolled Agent, wife, mother and grateful believer in Jesus Christ. I tried to achieve success in the secular world, but felt unfulfilled and like an outsider because of my beliefs. I finally realized that taking the risk to create a business (or businesses in my case), where I could openly express my faith and beliefs and to put God at the center of everything I did, was more exciting to me than the fear of the "what if's". So I did it! Not once, but twice! I want to share with you what I've learned through my 20 years of business experience in both retail and service-based industries to help you take that step of faith and walk in courageous obedience to God. My "Why"
I started my business journey to where I am today by going into Christian retail in 2003. I fell in LOVE with the Christian market and opened my own retail store in 2007. Unfortunately, we couldn't compete with the national chain, so we were forced to close in 2012. I felt very strongly that the Lord was telling me to go to school and get my accounting degree and take care of His church through outsourced bookkeeping and payroll services. So, I did! I went back to school in my 40's (boy, that was an adventure!) and graduated in 2015. I then earned my EA license so I could help churches and ministers who were having trouble with the IRS and opened my firm Hallmark Tax Solutions, LLC n 2017. In addition to growing HTS, the Lord reopened our store in 2019 and I'm having the time of my life owning and operating both businesses with the help of some FANTASTIC employees!
Through the process of taking on new clients and offering local in-person trainings through HTS, I discovered there were A LOT of churches who were not in compliance simply due to lack of knowledge. I found that most church bookkeepers and treasurers WANT to do things correctly, they just simply don't know how. That's where I come in.
I LOVE the studying and teaching aspect of my business and am confident that I can help you to become even more capable, confident and compliant in every area of church finance.

READING! My #1 hobby and preferred way to spend down time. I LOVE reading business and Christian non-fiction books. I occasionally make myself read a Christian fiction book just to do something different.

Spending time with my honey (Robert) and our two handsome boys, Justin and Joshua when they are in town

Not a traveler, so I love to simply hang around the house and chill
